The desk by the far wall and put a screen in front of it to keep it from view. Then in the centre of the room she had two black leather couches with a low table between them. On the couches were warm throw rugs and a couple of comfy pillows. Parker had set up a sideboard where she placed a coffee maker and cups.

Her next client was the Chief Engineer. She had, had limited contact with Orions, so she was interested to see how this would work out.

Darrod had not been enthused when he saw the psych review come up on his calendar. They rarely ended with him happy and in a good place; and right now, he couldn't run to Meredith after this, she was still on duty for several hours. So he'd just have to face it and resolve it. Dar walked up to the office and tapped the bell. "Lieutanant Commander Hanous here. I'm here for my psych eval."

Parker opened the door with a smile. "Commander, come in please, have a seat, can I get you a coffee?" she asked.

Darrod nodded with a smile as he looked at Parker's wrist, the single ring there on the rank braid . "That would help, yes, Ensign." He kept to ranks for the moment - in part, it was a reminder that if she started probing in directions that he didn't like, he could order her to stop (knowing it would go on his permanent record). "So, Ensign, what questions did you have beyond my previous psych eval?"

Parker spoke as she prepared his beverage. She placed it on a tray with a sugar bowl and a small jug of milk. "It is just a small meeting really to basically introduce ourselves and to see if you have anything you wish to discuss. A lot of the files are very light on information." Parker placed the tray on low coffee table between them.

Darrod nodded and took the cup of coffee with a nod. "Thank you." He shook his head at the comment when she asked if he had anything he wished to discuss. "I'm sorry, but right now, Ensign, unless you're looking to transfer to Engineering to help me and take over the Port side damage team, I really don't have anything I'd like to discuss. We're headed into a situation which I know may not be helpful to my mental health given my background. Some of my files are still classified due to containing information beneficial to Federation law enforcement and Starfleet CIS."

"As i have been made to understand" She replied with a smile. "I am not much use with Engineering tools, but may I ask, what you do when you are not working?"

Dar shrugged at the reasonable, if somewhat personal, question. "It's no secret that Chief Corden and I are dating. Most of my time not spent on various mundane tasks, I prefer to spend with her now. I'm not going to go into any further detail, for propriety's sake."

She had not known that bit but she smiled. "Do not worry I am not going to ask about that. So you spend time with friends and colleagues. Do you do any sports or hobbies?"

Dar shrugged lightly. "Not too much in the way of sports, no. But I do play chess, some card games. and I occasionally build model kits. I prefer tactile things - I'm more comfortable working with my hands and challenging my mind. I've also found on a technical level that I enjoy working with more advanced programs for the holographic rec room than the defaults of tundra, beach, forest, and the hedge maze. Though I will note, if you're ever interested, use Hedge Maze Two - the exit door to the Rec Room will only appear at a legal exit, rather than in the wall."

"Ah like an old 'escape room'" Parker smiled. "A very good mental challenge. Do you do them on your own? Or do you work on them with your friends?"

Darrod smiled and shrugged at the young Counselor. "It's only a hobby project, if I'm honest. Given that I can't figure out how to randomize the exit location within 'legal' spaces without texture glitches, it wouldn't be fun for me to actually walk through the maze. I know the designs too well, since I drew the patterns out - they're more intended to be uploaded and shared out among the Fleet, to be enjoyed on other vessels. We'll also be downloading programs from Starbase 10. It's a good way to keep the Fleet unified, that we can all share a low-stakes creative project. As for the more casual programs, I've enjoyed sharing some places with Chief Corden via the rec room. Places we might go in person when we get some R&R."

They continued to talk until the time ended and then, Parker told him that her door was always open if he needed to talk.
