Computer, begin log.

My first assignment involved a replacement of a damaged Data Relay on Deck 17 today. I sent Johnson and Philips together to Deck 16 to finish off the extensive latter half of the to-do list assigned by Lieutenant Hanous. I was given time alone, but it was ... enlightening. I glimpsed similar attitudes to the ones Philips seems to inadvertently express toward me. Crew that shied away from me, both in fear and in a hurry to run away.

In my efforts to finalize my tasks, I had words with a Lieutenant Vox from the Bridge. After some research, I have discovered her to be Lieutenant Azrel Vox, the ships Chief Communication Officer, and one of only a few Trill serving in Starfleet currently. Like me, she is unique. Our discussion today was professional, her dialogue moreso in question to my attempts to fix Data Relay D17-COM-1150 which directly linked to her console.

The dialogue was enlightening, the discussion interesting, but overall I finished my tasks. I do not have as of yet any interest in meeting Lieutenant Vox personally, but I wouldn't be against a polite and professional discussion.

I also had contact from my mate, Sreed, today. She is doing well. I discovered that she made Second Officer on board the USS Teeleus. Father is considering stepping down as Captain of the vessel to further concentrate on administrative duties for his fleet and business. Sreed is sure she is one of the primary candidates for replacement, but also mentions other notable officers up for the position. One of them was my old friend, Johnathan Candy, and our mutual acquaintance who assisted the introductions between Sreed and myself. Sreed agreed with me that if Johnathan was to grab the Captain seat, it would most assuredly not be a bad thing.
