Location: Deck 5: Vox's Quarters
Timeline: M2 MD05 (2268.6.07) 1500

Sat at her small table, where she normally had a light snack, Aze had her monitor on and ready to record a message home. She was never really good at recording messages but was getting better at it, each time she did so.

"Computer begin recording message."

[Working] the computer responded. It the bleeped to signify the start.

"Hey mom, Dad. I am sorry it has taken me a while to send you a message. Things have been somewhat hectic since being joined and then getting my new assignment. I am now the Communications Chief for the USS Midway. You would love this ship Dad, it's amazing. I wonder if I might be able to get a model of it and send it to you for your collection. The captain really enjoyed my version of Ma'kala Soup. I say my version because I couldn't get the puree so it lacked its usual fruitiness and was a bit thick. I probably should not have told him that. He probably would not have noticed anyway. Anyway. I am doing really well here and settling in OK. I have made some friends which does help. I will try to send another message before your birthday, dad, but I can't guarantee it. So, just in case. Happy Birthday Dad, love you.
