General Overview		Ivy is a fairly level headed but strong officer. She knows what's right and always strives to do her duty regardless of the circumstances. Her resolve was recently tested by the Orion emergency when she was taken captive by Orion slavers. She has a thing for the Captain, but the Captain does not know.
Ambitions		Ivy hopes to continue her career in Starfleet while eventually getting married and having a family.
Hobbies & Interests		Throughout her academic career Ivy ran track and field and still enjoys running through the ship most mornings. She is an avid skier and enjoys all activities in extreme winter weather. She enjoys playing Tri Dimentional chess like other Starfleet officers. Personal History

Ivy Kinsley was born on September 22, 2244, in Helsinki, Finland. She was the first child of John and Noora Kinsley, both former Starfleet officers who had retired to start a family. Her father was a doctor at the local hospital and her mother was a nurse. Ivy's parents were both avid skiers, and they passed on their love of the sport to their daughter. Ivy excelled in skiing throughout her childhood, and she even won a few regional championships.

In addition to skiing, Ivy was also a good student. She was particularly interested in science and math, and dreamed of becoming a Starfleet officer. After graduating from high school, Ivy was accepted to Starfleet Academy, where she majored in tactical systems and engineering.

Ivy graduated from Starfleet Academy in 2267, and she was immediately assigned to the incomplete USS Midway where she helped implement the new deflector screens. This is where she met Commander Tristan Faust, the newly appointed Captain of the Midway and instantly felt feelings for the swaggering young officer.

In 2268, on her maiden voyage to Starbase 10 the Midway was attacked by a group of Orion Pirates while investigating a false distress call. The pirates boarded the Midway and kidnapped several officers, including Ivy. Ivy was taken to an Orion slave trading outpost, where she was subjected to enslavement and sexual assault.

Ivy was eventually freed by the infamous trader Alcibiades Xod and rescued by Captain Faust and an away team from the Midway, but the experience had a profound impact on her. She struggled to cope with the physical and emotional trauma of the attack, and she even considered leaving Starfleet. For her efforts in captivity, she was awarded the Preantares Ribbon of Commendation and a Purple Heart.
