Ambitions		The son of a colonial sheriff, Peter always wanted to be a cop. While serving aboard a starship is similar enough, he often feels like he's a cross between a foot soldier and a bouncer.
Hobbies & Interests		Peter enjoys a variety of off duty activities including the Junior Officer Bowling league. Historically he played several sports, however ended up on the swim team during his academy years.

Personal History

Peter was born on January 28, 2245 on the Federation colony Deneva to Henry and Anna Novak. His father was the sheriff of the colony while his mother was a researcher.

Being raised on a rural Federation colony imparted upon Peter different sensibilities than being raised on Earth. From a young age he was taught to always be prepared and patient.

Wanting to be a cop like his father from an early age, Peter sawe Starfleet as the surest way to achieve his dream. His father has served during the Four Years War. He fought hard and managed to get a slot in the Academy class of 2267.

A month before his graduation, disaster struck the colony. Flying parasites infested the colony eventually killing all of the colonists except for Peter Kirk, Captain Kirk of the Enterprise's nephew. Instantly the cadet found himself homeless and an orphan. His parents never saw him graduate and earn his commission.

After graduation, Peter volunteered to be part of the colonial clean up operation. It was difficult, but his intimate knowledge of the colony made him an obvious choice. At the completion of the operation in early 2268, Peter was given fre reign over his next assignment. He chose to sign aboard the newest Constitution class starship, the Midway.
