| General Overview | Logical and precise, La'lei is emotionless like most other Vulcans. However she does have a soft heart and is caring underneath the stoic Vulcan exterior. She can be pretty quiet and even can be described as shy at times. | |

| Personal History | Born on Vulcan as an only child, La'lei had a fairly standard Vulcan upbringing. She attended the normal education system. At age thirteen La'lei encountered her first Pon Farr, although she was assisted through Medication and Medition, it did 'scare' her slightly being so young. La'lei has always struggled with her emotions since she was a child, sometimes allowing the mental control slip. During her teen years she focused on studying, her chosen field was that of Languages and Culture. At age eighteen, she applied to the Vulcan Science Academy to study Xeno-Languages. However she was rejected due to her being unable to fully control her emotions. Not knowing where to turn, she decided to leave Vulcan to chart her own path. She applied for Starfleet Academy, however wasn't able to pass the officer's tests. She did however qualify for the enlisted courses. Therefore satisfied with not feeling like a 'useless' Vulcan, she began to study at Starfleet Academy. Pon Farr once again came around for her again at the age of twenty when she was just finishing the Academy. The Enlisted course was only two years long. However she was unable to cure the Pon Farr with meditation and the medication wasn't available this time. Unfortuntely, the Pon Farr drove her to some regrettable decisions as she 'mated' with a Human male called Yōji Itami, whom she had become close with. She hadn't expected that to happen, however she couldn't deny that she had developed some feeling for Yōji Itami. Luckily, Yōji Itami was a couple of years older so both of them graduated together and were both assigned to the USS Kaga. She was assigned as a Communications Officer aboard the Kaga. After one years of service, La'lei was promoted from Able crewman to Petty Officer 2nd Class. However during her time in Communications, La'lei made a stupid mistake which resulted in an important messagenot being delivered to the Captain. To make up for her mistake, she personally saw that the message was delivered and also saw to the paperwork behind it to ensure she was covered. Luckily, the message turned out to not be that important and after seeing how La'lei handled the situation the Captain suggested she tried being a Yeoman. La'lei accepted the departmental transfer and changed her uniform from red to gold. After three years, at age twenty four, La'lei was reassigned as a yeoman to the USS Dallas. She also requested that Yōji Itami joined her. Starfleet allowed the transfer and both of them spent the next two years on the Dallas. However two years later, a larger and better assignment came. The USS Midway, a new Constitution Class was needing crew. Both La'lei and Yōji Itami put in for transfers hoping they would get a chance to serve on a Constitution Class, which was known across the Federation as 'The ship class to serve on'. Luckily, both of them managed to get positions and promotions when transferring to the Midway. |
